EDUCATION THAT SHAPES THE FUTURE
No, Apogee Highlands NJ is not a traditional private school. While we do offer a learning environment that provides a structured experience for children, we are not bound by the conventional framework of the traditional education system. In fact, our approach is designed to be a refreshing departure from the standardized, one-size-fits-all model of education that most schools follow.
At Apogee Highlands, we provide an experience-based, self-paced, and individualized approach to education. Our goal is not to replicate public or private school systems but to create a nurturing, flexible environment where families can explore and grow together.

At Apogee Highlands, we live by a code of Integrity, Bravery, Honor, Compassion, Politeness, Honesty, and Loyalty.
These values are woven into our curriculum and campus culture, fostering the development of strong character and emotional intelligence in our students.
We focus on character-building and leadership development through hands-on projects, group challenges, and decision-making exercises. Our goal is to help children grow into confident, compassionate leaders who can inspire and innovate in the real world.
Yes, we provide flexible learning schedules to accommodate the diverse needs of modern families. Our programs are designed to support families looking for an alternative to traditional school hours, ensuring that children can learn at their own pace. Check out our Enrollment Details page for a full break down of enrollment opportunities.
Our 4-in-1 model combines four days of hands-on, project-based learning with one day dedicated to exploring real-world skills. During the week, students work collaboratively on meaningful projects that foster critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving.
Then, every Freedom Friday, the focus shifts to skill-building and exploration with the help of community experts.
Think of Freedom Fridays as an adventure in real-world learning. Each Friday, we invite community members to share their expertise and passions with our students. From jiu-jitsu instructors and survival skills experts to chefs teaching cooking basics and musicians leading jam sessions, these experiences expose students to unique skills, ideas, and opportunities to grow.
Freedom Fridays are about learning beyond the classroom, empowering students to connect with their community, try new things, and develop confidence in ways traditional schooling can't offer.
Apogee Highlands does not have a physical location yet. We are currently working on finding the perfect starter location that will provide the space and resources needed to provide your young leaders the education they deserve.
Our residence is located in West Milford, so we have begun to search in town, but will be exploring the greater Highlands Region as well.
Please check back for updates or sign up for email/text notifications and we will let you know once we have landed our first location!

Our daily schedule is designed as a guideline for our young leaders to explore their curiosity in learning. There are no periods, no bells that abruptly interrupt learning. And our guides will only facilitate the collective leadership of the students to determine what they want to learn and when.
We will also be offering aftercare programs, for an additional cost, covering various studies such as music lessons, art study, mixed martial arts disciplines, entrepreneurial mentorships, book studies, free play and many more.
Our young leaders will take ownership in setting goals, scheduling, and allowing curiosity to motivate them to explore reading, writing, and arithmetic. Rather than being boxed into grade-level metrics, our young leaders will be empowered to develop organically, channeling their intrinsic abilities and interests. This will allow them to learn and grow at their own pace.
Socrates believed that the disciplined practice of thoughtful questioning enables the scholar/student to examine ideas.
At Apogee Highlands we will start our day with this open-format discussion, led by one of our coaches, with the intention of stimulating the exploration of ideas or topics that require critical thinking, debate, speech, and logic. Our young leaders will be presented with a scenario and will lead themselves and each other through deep reflection and examination of the scenario, considering pros and cons, questioning potential outcomes, and understanding the consequences of decisions made on these real-life topics. Through this process the young leaders will remain true to the Apogee Code, practicing civil discourse while maintaining respect and professionalism.
At Apogee Highlands we prioritize real physical education. Our young leaders will learn how to conquer life with focused mind and body training utilizing tools and resources provided by Physiology First. Body movement, mental and spiritual development, as well as nutritional education will allow our young leaders to truly live healthy, and to find success in a disciplined and physiological lifestyle.
Brain health matters, and it is proven that a healthy body best supports a healthy brain.

Our young heroes will be given the freedom to explore their Apogee Strong skills through various project tasks, some spanning over several weeks. Learning will happen through a collaborative effort where our young leaders will create economic structures, source materials, market products, track financial performance, and learn a plethora of other life skills that are not typically learned in grade-level education.
Our mission is to reseed America through our children, the future leaders in our communities. Equally as important is the strengthening of families. Included in your child’s full-time tuition is enrollment in the Apogee Man and Woman programs for both parents, providing personalized character, fitness, parenting, marriage, and financial development. These online programs help create a mindset and framework that will change lives for good, and provide a community of like-minded individuals that are all striving to make the most out of their lives and the lives of generations that follow.
